About

Hi, I’m Shannon, and welcome to the proverbial junk drawer of my mind.

As much as I would love to be a writer, I can’t claim the title. I do, however, enjoy a good research question, and have spent years answering the questions of other people.

But I think it’s time to ask some questions for myself. Not for an assignment, project, report, or patron, but for my own enjoyment.

I can’t begin to imagine what topics will be covered in this blog and don’t guarantee anything interesting, funny, or insightful. What I can guarantee, however, is a wide variety of (mostly) historical topics with verified information using primary and secondary sources. After all, these degrees have to be put to work somehow.

So, cheers to the journey of a historian trying to find some history for herself. Hopefully, you might find something along the way too.
